It was another night of exciting esports fighting game action on Happenstance FGC’s broadcast on Thursday, June 11. What is Happenstance FGC? It is a fighting game community that is currently hosting its first online Street Fighter V tournament. Happenstance FGC provides esports programming and competitions online and in-person.

The June 11 broadcast featured 6 total matches. Here’s a recap of the first match of the night. Omar Kratos, playing Birdie, got off to a very fast start in the first round of the first game as he aggressively pushed forward and took very little damage in winning the first round. Omar Kratos was able to also take Round 2 while suffering little damage. The first round of the second game was a very closely contested contest as both players were down to a very small amount of health before a late charge gave Omar Kratos the round. Omar Kratos won the second round as well to take a 2-0 lead in games. Juan Papas con limon, playing Zeku, got off to a nice lead in the first round of the third game, but Omar Kratos used an aggressive offensive strategy to come back and take the round. Juan Papas con limon got on the board by winning Round 2 of the third game. Omar Kratos started with a huge lead in the final round, only to see Juan Papas con limon come back in a big way to nearly take the round. But Omar Kratos was able to steady his play and take the finishing round and win the match by a score of 3-0. Omar Kratos, currently ranked #803 in the world, seems to be a player to keep your eye on as the round-robin phase progresses.
