The Washington Submission Series recently held the Dreamwalk Coffee Invitational in Enumclaw, Washington. The featured match pitted top grapplers Brianna Ste-Marie against Hannah Sharp in a submission only, no-time limit match.
The combatants displayed incredible stamina, toughness, skill as the match clocked in at over 2.25 hours. Ste-Marie ultimately won the back-and-forth match by triangle choke.
Both ladies are highly accomplished grapplers, among the best competitors in the world. Ste-Marie is a black belt and representative of Brazilian Top Team Canada. Ste-Marie’s accomplishments include championships at the 2021 Bantamweight Combat Jiu-Jitsu Medusa, 2020 Flyweight Combat Jiu-Jitsu, as well as IBJJF Pan and American National tournaments as both a purple and brown belt.
Sharp is a PNW local who is a black belt under Renzo Gracie Academy Portland black belt Aaron Milam. Sharp also represents Workshop Jiu-Jitsu. Sharp is a 2018 brown belt no gi world champion, 2021 American Nationals champion, and 2021 no gi Worlds Silver medalist.
