The second fight on the main card is a catchweight bout between Roosevelt “The Predator” Roberts and Brok “Chata Tuska” Weaver. The bout is contested as a catchweight bout because Weaver failed to make the lightweight division non-title fight maximum of 156 pounds, by weighing in at 157.5 pounds. Weaver will forfeit 20 percent of his purse to Roberts as a penalty
Roberts, a highly touted prospect, has a 2-1 record in the UFC and is coming off a victory over Alexander Yakolev. Weaver has won eight in a row, including his promotional debut in February
Round 1
Roberts starts quickly with a hard inside leg kick. The fight goes to the clinch along the fence but quickly breaks. Roberts with a nice combo, ending with the uppercut. A strong left hand from Roberts. Roberts clearly doesn’t like Weaver as he is talking a lot to Weaver in a not-so-friendly manner. The tall and lanky Roberts is showing some nice striking on the feet. Standing guillotine attempt by Roberts appeared tight but Weaver spins out and ends up in bottom position but the round ends shortly thereafter

Weaver continue with a game plan of throwing strikes while rushing into the clinch. The fighters in the clinch along the fence. Roberts with a couple nice 1-2s. A big right hand by Roberts leads to a takedown and top position for Roberts. Short left elbow from Roberts lands. Roberts attempts a d’arce choke and uses it to advance to back mount. Weaver survives what appeared to be a tight RNC attempt. Roberts then lands some hard punches before again applying the RNC and this time producing the tap.
