Austin “Duck Jitsu” Daffron added another no-gi BJJ title to his growing list of achievements by winning the inaugural BJJ Woodstock Flyweight title (125 lbs) via armbar submission against Nate Williams. The match was a rematch of their earlier clash at Sub Spectrum 7. It was an impressive display of athleticism by Daffron as he was able to quickly convert defense to offense and displayed some slick transitions.

A video of the BJJ Woodstock Flyweight Title match can be seen at the following link – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8tdUi1LSgs.

Early in the match, Williams briefly had top position before Daffron was able to sweep and reverse position. Daffron quickly went on the attack as he deftly rolled into a leg attack, looking for the submission. During that sequence, the combatants moved off of the mat and the referee stopped the action to re-set the match on the feet. After the re-set, Williams attempted a single leg takedown, but Daffron used a front headlock to deftly control his opponent and secure mount position. From there, Daffron transitioned to a belly down armbar position and was able to quickly produce the verbal tap.

Daffron’s jiu-jitsu resume now includes:

• BJJ Woodstock – 2020 Champion – Flyweight Division 125 lbs

• Ultimate Mat Warriors – 2019 Champion – Open Division 125 lbs

• Combat Jiu-Jitsu – 2019 Semi-Finalist – 135 lbs

• Finishers – 2018 Champion – Open Division 125 lbs
