Seattle based jiu-jitsu competitor Gabriel Austin “Duck Jitsu” Daffron is back in action this weekend in the high profile Eddie Bravo promotion Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds 2021 – The Bantamweights. Be sure to tune in to the event live on March 21 at 3 PM PT on the streaming platform UFC Fight Pass.

Duck Jitsu PNW native Daffron looks to add to his growing list of jiu-jitsu accomplishments at this prestigious invitation only tournament. Described by some as “Jiu jitsu with slaps on the ground”, the tournament allows for open palm strikes. This unique feature in a jiu-jitsu competition is meant to keep a fast pace of action, while allowing MMA competitors to level the playing field against top jiu-jitsu competitors. Matches are won either by submission, TKO or EBI overtime rules.

Daffron trains at Kindred Jiu-Jitsu/Seattle Workshop. His opening round match is against Zack Schneider of Warrior Camp.

Daffron’s jiu-jitsu accomplishments include:

BJJ Woodstock – 2020 Champion – Flyweight Division 125 lbs

Ultimate Mat Warriors – 2019 Champion – Open Division 125 lbs

Combat Jiu-Jitsu – 2019 Semi-Finalist – 135 lbs

Finishers – 2018 Champion – Open Division 125 lbs
